Approach To Treatment
My practice is dedicated to empowering individuals and families by changing cognitive and behavioral patterns using practical, efficient, evidence-based approaches. I am primarily a cognitive-behavioral therapist, and have extensive training in acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. Where appropriate, I incorporate exposure and response prevention, habit reversal training, values work, acceptance, mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal skills into my clinical work to assist clients with achieving their goals.
My top priority when beginning any treatment program is establishing a supportive and collaborative relationship with all of my clients. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, active, and results driven. I work hard to teach clients problem-solving and skill building while ensuring they feel heard and understood. Through this process, my hope is to help people develop the tools they need to confront and overcome their anxiety, fears, and other challenges so that they can return to leading healthy, satisfying, and productive lives.
