Sessions are typically 45 minutes in duration. Occasionally, an extended 60-minute session may be recommended (e.g. exposure and response prevention work).

Yes! All teletherapy is delivered via secure video conference platform. You will be sent a secure link at your appointment time.

Dr. Berry does not participate with any insurance plans, and is therefore considered an out-of-network provider. All session fees must be paid in full at the time of service. If you have PPO insurance, many services may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement as part of your "out of network" benefits. To help facilitate out-of-network claims, Dr. Berry will provide you with a statement (sometimes called a "superbill") at month end, which includes all of the necessary information to submit to your insurance company.

Phone consultation – Dr. Berry engages in a brief phone consultation to describe the services offered and ensure that they are a match for what the client is looking for.
Initial evaluation – A comprehensive initial evaluation is completed prior to the start of therapy. This evaluation includes an in depth interview as well as standardized assessment measures. When working with children and adolescents, Dr. Berry will schedule separate parent and child interviews.
Feedback and treatment planning – Once the assessment is complete, the next session is scheduled to review feedback from the initial interview(s) and discuss recommendations for treatment. Dr. Berry’s goal is for clients to be fully informed and comfortable with the course of treatment and the outcomes they expect.

Background information and consent forms will be emailed to you and should be completed prior to the first appointment. It is also recommended that clients contact their insurance providers to inquire about out-of-network behavioral health coverage and whether pre-authorization is required.
